my story

I grew up in New Jersey where not too much was going on. It’s suburbia as you imagine and I did the traditional school and college thing. I was an athlete growing up playing soccer, track, basketball and anything else that was competitive and kept me interested

it wasn't until after college I started working with a nutritionist who figured out I had hidden food allergies which was causing my bloating and fatigue…I realized health was way more important than any scale number

I pursued my masters degree in nutrition and became passionate about living a more balanced and healthy life. I ditched the extreme diets and now enjoy some cookies every now and then without feeling guilty

growing up as a millennial the whole "skinny supermodel” was a thing and I developed an eating disorder. I would workout 3x a day but only eat 1 meal if that. I would weight myself daily and wouldn’t allow myself to go past 100 pounds

as mentioned above I was extreme with my dieting but as I got older and realized how much food affects the way we live, I just started understanding that a number on the scale didn’t mean anything if you didn’t have your health.

even to this day I see so much online about different diets that I just want to help others understand you can’t diet your whole life and eventually it catches up to you. our bodies change every 10 years and what once worked in your 20s probably won’t work in your 30s and 40s
